Graduated from Kharkov State University, Ukraine in 1996. PhD from Kharkov National University, Ukraine in 2005.

 

 

Fields of Specialization: Electromagnetics of complex and random media, periodical structures, composite materials, photonic crystals and metamaterials, biomedical applications, numerical methods for computational electrodynamics.

 


Scientific Activity:

  • 2006 – till now. Analytical and numerical investigation of the electromagnetic wave propagation in the inhomogeneous anisotropic, bi-anisotropic, chiral and gyrotropic media, nonlinear layers, metamaterials.
  • 2004 – 2006. The theory and C++ based numerical codes development for the computation a robust algorithm for solving the inverse problem of magnetostatics for reconstruction of heart electric activity from magnetocardiography measurements.
  • 2003 – 2005. Development of the analytical and numerical techniques for handling the difraction problem of the passing TE0mq axially-symmetrical corrugated-wall resonator with a piecewise magnetodielectric filling and their connecting via a single mode waveguide sections. Design of the resonator for dielectric permeability of biological environment grouts metrology.
  • 1996 – 2003. Development of the analytical and numerical techniques for handling the problems of the electromagnetic wave propagation and scattering in finite periodic sequences of certain complex planar heterogeneities. The basis element of the sequence are: a thick grate of perfectly conducting strips, a resistive film and magnetodielectric layers, which are placed inside a rectangular waveguide or an open transmission line. Theoretical design of artificial dielectrics with non-resonant magnetodielectric layers with thick grates of perfectly conducting strips. The analytical and numerical investigation of electromagnetic wave scattering on periodical structures with different type deffects. Analytical and numerical investigation of electromagnetic scattering of spatially inhomogeneous wave forms (particularly, wave beams) from periodical structures.
